Our Programs and Services

The Beaman Home: Emergency Shelter
Our emergency housing facility provides a short-term safe haven, food, clothing, and other basic necessities to domestic violence victims and their children who are fleeing their abuser. The Housing facility and the Crisis Hotline are staffed 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. While in emergency housing, our advocates make sure all immediate needs are met. Advocates also work with clients on social and life skills necessary to gain independence from abuse and violence, and refer individuals for additional Beaman services or other human service organizations.
Personalized Case Management & Advocacy
The Beaman Advocacy team works from a strengths-based approach. Individual and family case management with residential and non-residential participants include assistance with: weekly goal setting, navigating the legal system, school system and social services network, job skills, parenting skills, life skills, and much more.
We also promote healthy relationships and dating violence awareness to educators, students and interested community members.

Residential & Nonresidential Classes
At the Beaman Home, a variety of classes are offered to provide support, education, and empowerment to individuals facing domestic violence and abuse. These classes cover a range of topics tailored to meet the diverse needs of survivors, including coping mechanisms, self-esteem building, financial literacy, and healthy relationship dynamics. Through these classes, participants gain valuable skills and knowledge to navigate their journey towards healing and independence. The Beaman Home's commitment to education and empowerment plays a crucial role in breaking the cycle of violence and fostering a community of resilience and support.
